One of my favorite juices for a Juice cleanse


Are any of my friends starting the new year on a juice cleanse ? 
Or just adding more fresh, cold-pressed juice in your life? 
Well here is a recipe for one of my favorite juices! Okay, don't freak out when I tell you what's in this. Just juice it, drink it and tell me what you think.

I'm telling you guys, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this juice. I could
drink it every day, all day, if I had the time to juice every day, all day. 

Okay so here it goes... Ready? P E A R S & PURPLE CABBAGE!
ahhh, there I said it. Sounds a bit scary right?
Pears is awesome, but then I hit you with the purple cabbage and OMG, a little intense. I know.
Anyways,  try it before you knock it and I truly think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

So here is what I do:
1) Juice an entire head of Organic purple cabbage 
2) Juice 4 Organic pears... add a couple if its still not sweet enough. 

THAT IS ALL YOU GUYS. 
THAT'S IT. 

The benefits of purple cabbage are unreal. 
Think antioxidants... Clear skin... weight loss... Vitamin K....
Vitamin C... Iron... and so much more! 

Pears have a ton of health benefits also, but the important part 
is that they just taste amazing. 
RIGHT?! mmm, sweetness come to mama. Love me some Sweet fruit. 

When you combine the two, you're looking at a world of antioxidants!

Happy 2017! Time to jump on the Juice Cleanse...




Happy New year everyone! 
It's January 1st and today is the day MANY of us will start doing something new. Working out, juicing, cleaning, joining a gym, or whatever else. Many peoples new year resolution usually consists of eating healthier and losing weight or toning up.
My new years resolution is all of that and more. The first thing i'm working on though is juicing more. If you have followed old blogs, old FB accounts and or Instagram account then you know i'm a HUGE juicer. I haven't really done much juicing lately and miss it terribly. I was lighter, my skin was clearer, I was just happier with my health.
I've been eating so much processed foods, I'm so excited to jump back on the bandwagon. 
If you follow my instagram you will have seen that 1915 Organic Juice sent me some goodies which really inspired me to do more juicing. I really enjoy their juices, i'm really a huge fan. They taste amazing, they're not crazy expensive, and they're organic//cold pressed. Anyways, I really encourage you all to drink ONE juice a day. Try to drink juices with more greens than not, but if you're beginner then just start wherever, but JUST START.

Please Remember:
If you're going to juice at home, use ORGANIC fruits and veggies. Follow the dirty dozen rule and  Wash your produce throughly.

You can juice at home but if it's not a good juicer it's just burning all the nutrients and all you're really getting is SUGAR. 

I own a kuvings juicer. And though it may be expensive , it has a slow RPM and it's a masticating juicer. It's easy to clean and has a big mouth so you can throw an entire organic apple in it if you wanted to :) . 


Try and stay away from centrifugal juicers. They juice at very high Speeds and destroy nutrients. 

Anyways, the big point of juicing is to give your kidneys a break from breaking down so much fiber . Imagine running on a treadmill and never get a break. 

At some point you'll just stop and possible pass out. 

We don't want our organs to one day just give out. Juicing is great way to give our organs a little break to heal and recover . So who wants to start incorporating juicing with me ?!


Basically, for 30 days we all will drink a juice instead of a meal. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. This will allow your body to reboot. I personally like to drink a juice first thing in the morning so I can have a nice lunch and dinner. The body absorbs nutrients differently depending on when you ingest it. 
Mornings seem to be the best time to take vitamins and nutrient packed food because 
the body will absorb more nutrients on an empty stomach. 

Anyways, I'm so excited to go on this journey with many of you. 
Can't wait to hear your stories on how much juicing has helped your mind, body, and soul in 30 days. And hey, if you want to incorporate more juice in the day, then YAH! do it! 
But at least start with one every morning.

Oh Avocado Toast, how I love thee...



Good day my friendly friends! 
I hope you all are getting ready for the new year and if preparing more plant based foods is in your future ( ahem, New years resolution) , I'm so glad you stopped by. 
If you know me, you know I LOVE avocado toast. I have a Fat intolerance so It's difficult for me to process Fatty foods, including AVOCADO! Ugh the tragedy. News Flash! I'm a total Rebel without a cause and still eat avocado all of the time. Anyways I love mashing avocado with a little bit of slat and lemon, but this ... this toast pictured is unexplainably yummy.
So, its Toast (sprouted and organic) with :
mashed bean spread 
on 
sliced pieces of avocado  
and 
drizzled on top is drum roll please.... 
VEGAN/ PLANT BASED/ MADE FROM HOME 
CHEESE DIP   

YUM YUM YUM!

Please try this, it's so good.

Anyways, I made the beans in a crockpot. I always make my beans. I try to stay away from canned anything, especially when I can make a giant pot at home. I always wash the beans, and leave them in water for a few hours then throw in a crockpot . Once they're done, I take some out and mash it with a fork or masher thingy and use that as the spread. Then I slice come avocado , and drizzle my cheese for it. 

I found the best vegan "Cheese" sauce on Buzzfeed. works like a charm every time and hits the spot. Oh man, I'm craving this just thinking about it.

Vegan Protein and a Vegan "Slim Fast"



Hey Friends! 
Do you guys want to know a very silly/fun fact about me? When I was young (way before I started eating vegan food) I freaken LOVED the taste of a very popular Slim drink. I weighed 100 LBS and did not need to lose weight. I drank these like water because I genuinely LOVED the flavor. Fast Forward 10 years and ORGAIN sends me these bad boys. I had never tried them before that day and wasn't sure if the taste would be any good. I went one morning to my kitchen, opened up the SLIM container, added two scoops to a shaker and some unsweetened Almond milk... did a bit of shaking, stuck a straw in , took a big gulp and OMG I think the heavens opened. It was DELICIOUS. Holy heck you guys. I must have drank 3 or 4 that day (don't judge me). Anywhooo, the New year is right around the corner and I know so many of you are looking to get get fit or lose weight and I HIGHLY recommend this brand. The slim drink is definitely my favorite. It is VEGAN-GLUTEN FREE-ORGANIC-NON GMO- LACTOSE FREE- LOW IN CARBS- FIBER- PROBIOTICS- AND THE BEST PART, IT HAS PLANT BASED PROTEIN
